Day 174
Jan 25 2015 Bangkok Thailand
We took a taxi to the Dusit zoo in the
morning. After reading many bad reviews
on trip advisor and that you could go through the zoo in 1 to 2 hours, I was
prepared for the worst. We enjoyed the
zoo and spent more than 7 hours there.
At the hippo pen there was a keeper feeding a hippo. He let David and Isabel feed a few handfuls
of grass to the hippo, the size of the mouth was daunting. They had some really cool monkeys that are
endangered and an albino barking deer.
The kids also got to feed some black tip reef sharks using a piece of
fish tied onto a fishing rod. When we
left the zoo we decided to walk the 3 km to the sky train as finding a taxi to
our hotel during rush hour is almost
impossible unless we want to pay 4 times the meter rate. When we were almost at the hotel Evy noticed
a little restaurant tucked back into an apartment complex, the food was good
and cheap.
