Day 191
Feb 11 2015 Phnom Penh Cambodia
We were taken from our hotel to the tourist
pier in Chau Doc by bicycle taxi. We
then boarded the express boat to Phnom Penh.
We stopped at the Vietnamese boarder to get our exit paperwork
done. We then got back into the boat for
a few hundred meter ride to the Cambodian Border where we got our visas and
lots of stamps in our passport. The entire
border crossing took just over 1 hour.
We then got back into the boat and were taken to Phnom Penh. We left the hotel around 7 am and got to
Phnom Penh close to 2 pm. It was a
scenic way to travel between the two countries.
We took a tuk tuk to the hotel and relaxed for ½ hour. We then walked to a restaurant around the
corner followed by a long walk to the night market on the other side of the
city and back. We stopped at the Blue
Pumpkin for some ice cream. We ate it watching the street life along the
promenade and the Mekong flowing by.
