We started the day at the tour company office at 7:30 am.  We boarded a bus at 8:00 am for a 2 ½ hour ride to Ben Tre Province.  Once we arrived at the pier we went for a boat ride through the zig zag canals with a stop at a honey farm and a coconut candy factory.  At the coconut candy factory they also sold  locally produced rice alcohol. We were given a sample of 2 different types of alcohol. The first was just high % alcohol the second had a weird flavor to it.  The guide was explaining how it was a health drink and supposed to be good for you.  It was only after drinking it that I discover that the bottle had a dead cobra, scorpion and possibly some kind of lovely other creature in it.  To put it politely it is an acquired taste that I do not want to develop.  The boat ride was followed by a ride in the back of a motorcycle taxi.  We then got into a boat and were paddled down the river to a riverside restaurant for lunch.  We then got into another boat for a ride down the river to where the bus was parked.   The boat ride was followed by a 2 hour bus ride to the hotel in Can Tho.
