Day 188
Feb 8 2015 Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam
We spent a good part of the morning and early
afternoon planning the next few weeks of our trip. We purchased tickets to Kuala Lumpur from
Siem Riep, tickets to Manila from KL and a ticket to Cebu from Manila. We also rented a beach house in Santander
which is about 110 km south of Cebu. In
the afternoon we went to the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City. It was a sobering look at the Vietnamese War
and the French Colonists from the perspective of the Vietnamese. It was a tastefully done museum for what was
being portrayed. During our visit David
said “I knew war was bad but I did not think it was this bad”. It is a lot different to look at pictures of destroyed
lives than it is to play a video game or watch it on TV.
